HOLLA ATCHA BOY!
Jamie Nieto's Cool Track Show
I have previously reported on the uber talented Jamie Nieto, Olympian, Actor, Comedian. He started his hilariously informative and entertaining show to interview the worlds best T&F athletes, many of which are his close friends. Circle Runners, coverage doesn't get as in depth and personal as this. Check out his latest interview with London Olympic Gold Medalist in the Long Jump, Greg Rutherford.

The American Track League Debut
Man Come Down From Stands and Runs a 4.4sec 40 yard dash!
The ATL recently had a meet in Bloomington, Indiana on the IU track. Below is partial coverage of what happened. I'm not always the first to jump on a new concept like this but whatever popularizes track and field and gives it the potential to gain notoriety is my kind of thing.
Link including the coverage of events and interview with Lolo Jones!

What I am most excited about is their goal main goal of the meets. As a public health graduate student getting my MPH this tickles my fancy!
"To promote the importance and raise the awareness of the childhood obesity epidemic. world class athletes will visit schools in each city to promote the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle"

Ashton Eaton Tries The 400m Hurdles.
World Greatest Athlete Tries Something Else
Ashton Eaton runs his first 400m Hurdles
Yesterday at the Mt. Sac Relays, Ashton Eaton did something he has never done before. Rare for a man who competes in the 10 event Decathlon. Ashton was trying his hand at his first 400m hurdles, admitting that he didn't even run more than 300m in practice.Ashton ended up 4th running against quite a respectable field.50.01sec
Click here for the post race interview. Nigeria's Amaechi Morton comes over to congratulate him toward the end. Track news is hard to find but I do my best to dig and find it for you guys. Happy Easter everyone. God Bless!

The Deux-Athlon
So instead of competing in the full decathlon and putting my athletic career in the trash, I decided to only compete in the Shot Put and High Jump. Neither were pretty. I spent most of my time filming my competitors and it was very enlightening to see some great talent out there. I met a guy who, I believe was in his mid 30's who was keeping up with all the collegiate. Here are a few pics.

Is This Aussie Teen Speedster Faster Than Bolt?
Is This Aussie Teen Speedster Faster Than Bolt?
Young James Gallaugher is fast, like really fast. He has posted times in the 200m faster than Usain Bolt ran at the same age. His talent is blatant, like a slap across the face when you watch some of the youtube videos where he comes from miles on his relay to beat another kid his age.
Only time will tell how this special kid will develop before Rio 2016. Who knows, he may be running stride for stride with the Boltmeister in Rio.....
